At Orthosnap, we pride ourselves on offering comprehensive treatment plans.

With this, you are able to see the estimated cost, the length, IPR, and/or attachments if needed. What you'll also see is the exact tooth movements planned for each sequential aligner step.

Let's take a look at the different sections:

The Top Bar

This provides a high-level estimate for the treatment plan.

Note: On the right side of the header you'll find the estimated number of steps for each arch, and the length of treatment in months.

Case Mark-Out

This section displays the exact vector of movement of each tooth

A key to what each movement in the plan means.

The Movements

There are 9 movements commonly seen in our treatment plans:

  1. Intrusion - int

  2. Extrusion - ext

  3. Mesial Rotation - mr

  4. Distal Rotation - dr

  5. Mesial Torque - mt

  6. Distal Torque - dt

  7. Buccal Torque - bt

  8. Palatal Torque - pt

  9. Full body movement - green square, no abbreviation

A green square represents a full-body-movement.

A yellow square represents a tooth movement, without a full-body-movement, often accompanied by an abbreviation, representing some other type of movement.

Attachments will all be represented in blue squares

IPR will be represented in orange squares.

An example treatment plan:

In this treatment plan, you can follow the path of tooth #6.

  • Needs an attachment

  • Movement at step 2 - buccal torque

  • Movement at step 4 - full body movement

  • Movement at step 6 - buccal torque
