First, if you haven't already, please set up 3Shape Communicate in Unite

To be able to send and receive orders to and from the lab, you need to create a 3Shape Account and configure it in Unite software. If you do not yet have a 3Shape Account, see here for how to make one.

  1. Open Unite software > click More > click Settings.

  2. Click General > click Users > enter your 3Shape Account credentials > click Test to test the connection.

  3. Go back to Patients or any other page and changes will be saved automatically.

Next, Add Orthosnap as a Direct Connection with 3Shape

  1. Go to 'More' > 'Settings'

  2. In Menu, click 'Connections' > 'Labs'

  3. Then Click 'Add' in the top of the screen > then 'Search'

  4. Fill in this email address: 3dscans@orthosnap.com > Then click 'Search'

    1. You'll see the result in the new window. Then click Connect

  5. Orthosnap will approve your connection request. And you'll soon see a connection to Orthosnap. Save your changes.

(optional) If You Need to Export Scans in Unite

Orthosnap's Preferred Format:

  • STL - a format that can be used in any 3Shape software or 3rd-party software which supports it. This format is available for both export and import.

NOTE: Only post-processed or sent scans can be exported.

How to export scans from Unite

You can export scans from 2 different sections in the Unite software - Patients and Cases.

From Patients:

  1. Open Unite. Click on the section Patients and click on the name of the needed patient.

2. Click on the needed case > on the menu with 3 dots > Export > Scans.

3. Choose the location for saving > Name the file > Choose Format STL > Click Save.

From Cases:

  1. Open Unite. Click on the Cases > choose the needed case > click on the menu with 3 dots > Export > Scans

2. Choose the location for saving > Name the file > Choose format STL > Click Save.
