When submitting a case, notes regarding possible risks to the treatment plan are important.  Furthermore, presenting possible solutions and alternatives to the patient will make the patient feel comfortable knowing a plan is in place to deliver the best results with the least amount of risk.

Common risks can be easily detected by a dentist. If you anticipate the patient will be non-compliant or their may be a limitation on the plan because of age.   Perhaps the patient would need palettal expansion or teeth to be extracted.

It's important to establish correct expectations and goals to the patient.  Making the patient comfortable and happy with the best result, given their limitations, is a way to gain a trusting and compliant patient.  Our treatment plan will reflect these goals and detail out the tooth movements necessary to support the prescription.
