You scanned. You’ve got your STL file. Now it’s time to send it to Orthosnap. And yes—you can use just about any scanner. But hold up! Before you hit ā€œsubmit,ā€ there’s one additional step that makes all the difference: filling out the Rx details inside the Orthosnap Portal. It’s the key to getting your case processed fast and accurately.

šŸ”§ What You’ll Need to Do

Step 1: Export Your STL File

Use whatever scanner works for you—whether it’s iTero, 3Shape, Primescan, Medit, Dexis, or others. STL files are all good.

Step 2: Head to the Orthosnap Portal

Jump over to the Orthosnap Portal and log in. If you're new, the sign up is quick!

Step 3: Submit a New Case

Click ā€œCreate Orderā€ and choose ā€œI have a new patientā€. Then fill in the case details:

  • Basic patient info

  • Upload your STL file

  • Complete the Rx form

  • Add any special instructions

  • Hit submit!

Step 4: Get Your Treatment Plan

Within two business days, Orthosnap sends you a full plan: smile simulation, step count, cost estimate—the works. You can even book a clinical consult to fine-tune the results.

✨ Why It Matters

Submitting your STL file without using the portal is like skipping the ā€œnameā€ field on a form—something important gets lost. Using the portal ensures every case gets the attention it deserves. That means fewer delays, smoother processing, and better outcomes.
